About us

Hello, I am a snowshoe and hiking guide based in Saint Gervais. I offer snowshoe tours around Saint-Gervais, Chamonix and Megève. On every tour, we dive into the fascinating history of the region, the role the Mont Blanc massif played in the birth of modern alpinism, and the incredible wildlife that lives here.

Why Snowshoeing?

Because it’s the simplest way to truly experience the winter mountains. Snowshoeing lets you leave the busy pistes behind and step into quiet forests, open meadows, and snowy trails that few people see. No special skills are required — just the curiosity to explore. Along the way, you start to notice the details: animal tracks in fresh snow, the silence of a winter forest, the changing light on the peaks. It’s a slower, more immersive way to discover the mountains. Snowshoeing isn’t about speed or performance — it’s about connection: with nature, with the landscape, and with the simple joy of being outdoors in winter.

Do I need a guide?

A local guide doesn’t just lead the way — they help you discover the mountains differently. They know the quiet trails, the hidden viewpoints, and the places where wildlife passes through. Instead of worrying about navigation or conditions, you can simply enjoy being out in nature. Guides also bring the landscape to life. Along the way you’ll learn about the history of the valley, the role these mountains played in the development of alpinism, and the fascinating wildlife that survives the winter here. Most importantly, a guide understands the mountain environment — from snow conditions to safe route choices — so you can explore with confidence and peace of mind.

"Animals don’t hide their tracks — when snowshoeing, we often come across them. Each track tells us the gossip of the night."
